Tyler J. Moore
Tyler J. Moore joined the law firm of Spesia & Ayers as an associate attorney in August of 2016. Born in Joliet, Mr. Moore was raised in New Lenox and attended Lincoln-Way Central High School. In 2010, Mr. Moore received his B.A. from Augustana College, graduating Cum Laude. While a student at Augustana, Mr. Moore ran varsity track and cross-country, and also served as the Vice President of Big Brothers Big Sisters at Augustana.
After college, Mr. Moore attended Drake University Law School. There, he received the CALI Award for the highest grade in Environmental Law and was named to the Dean’s List. During law school, he clerked for a well-respected private law firm in Des Moines, Iowa for 2 years.
After law school, Mr. Moore worked as an associate attorney handling complex injury cases throughout Will, DuPage, Kane and Cook Counties. During his first two years as an attorney, he recovered over $1,500,000.00 on behalf of his clients, including a $325,000.00 settlement for a client who had sustained a cervical disc herniation and torn labrum as a result of a car accident. Mr. Moore also has experience handling cases involving motorcycle and semi collisions.
Mr. Moore is an effective and experienced courtroom litigator. He won a recent trial in a contested automobile collision case and obtained a successful jury verdict more than five times of the amount that the insurance company had offered to settle on the day before trial. At the conclusion of the two-day trial, the twelve-person jury awarded his client the full extent of her medical expenses, as well as compensation for her pain and suffering, all despite the insurance company’s contention that that she was not injured in the crash.
Mr. Moore continues to handle a wide variety of litigation matters and all respects of case management, from investigation through trial. His portfolio includes representation of clients in cases involving automobile collisions, construction injuries, professional malpractice claims and premises liability cases. He continues to live in New Lenox and is an active member of the community.
Mr. Moore has appeared before the Circuit Courts of Will, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, DeKalb, McHenry and Cook Counties. He is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
